The Problems of Foreigner Employment in the Czech Republic focused on the Tax Aspects

This bachelor thesis is focused on the employment of EU/EEA citizens and non-citizens and how their income is taxed. The aim of the practical part is to demonstrate the different tax situations in which they can find themselves when employed abroad. Examples of taxation based on income from abroad and Czech Republic are also included for both tax-residents and tax non-residents.

The Master’s Thesis analyses the employing of the foreigners in the Czech republic. It focuses on the interposition of the job opportunities for the incoming foreign students at Brno University of Technology. It tries to find out the attitude of the foreigners to this theme and upon the analysis of the current situation it brings the suggestions for the extensions of the activities of the International Students Club with the view of improving the relationship between BUT and the foreign students.
Green Card - a card wich does not attract or evaluation of simplified employment of foreigners

The topic of this diploma thesis is the evaluation of the project of green cards which is a Czech version of the programme of advantageous employment for the foreigners. Green card represents a special type of visa authorization which the citizens from selected countries outside of EU and EEA can apply for. The project was supposed to attract the foreign workers to come and work in Czech Republic in the fields with high demand of labour force, and thus to meet the needs of employers and to stabilize the situation on the labour market. It was expected that it would raise the interest of tens of thousands of foreigners. However, in reality the program is used to the minimal extent and to these days (or so to say by the end of 2012) Czech Republic issued less than four hundred green cards. Therefore, the main aim of this thesis is to define the reasons behind the low and unsatisfactory use of this programme. The thesis is based on the theory of implementation. The main theoretical basis represents: top-down institutional framework of P. Sabatier and D. Mazmanian and an instrumental approach combining multiple perspectives of various authors. Migration policy of the Federal Republic of Germany in the years 1998-2005

This aim of the bachelor thesis is the analysis of the Gerhard Schröder government with the scope of immigrations policies over the period 1998-2005. The thesis is analyzing a process of amendment of the bill about citizenship and an implementation of Green Card for a foreigner experts. The aim is to highlight a minimal consensus which ruled over this time within the political parties. The thesis is describing in the next part a government policies which accompanied adoption of the immigration law and specifies further attitudes and aims of the relevant political parties. It also emphasizes the discourse within the society which contributed to the final bill.

The bachelor thesis looks into the topic of Employment of foreigners in the Czech Republic in the terms of dependant work. The aim is to deal with the issue of obtaining necessary the permissions by these individuals (i.e. residence permission, employment permission, blue card and green card). Furthermore, this thesis deals with the current practice of the Czech employers and job agencies and also means (gateways and government programmes) which assist foreigners in finding a job in the Czech Republic. The thesis is supplemented by a survey carried out through two electronic questionnaires among Czech employers and foreign employees.

The attention is paid especially to people with health handicap and foreigners, job intervention and vacancies report. In the work there are described partial unemployment, employer's insolvency and its duties vis-a-vis the Labour Office and collective redundancies. The practical part of thesis is focused on searching of the concrete statistical data, their matching under development and trend appreciation.
Czech green cards in context of the immigration policy of the EU

Green card is a new type of residence permit within the territory of the Czech republic designed for foreigners from selected third countries. It entitles its holder to residence as well as work. The concept functions in the Czech republic since 1.1.2009. This thesis sets the Czech project of green cards into wilder context of the immigration policy of the EU and examines whether Czech green cards are compatible with similar system of EU blue cards which is not yet running on but it is in process of approval. The thesis also investigates if there are similar systems already working in other EU member states and compares Czech green cards to selected systems of green cards of Germany and Denmark. It also deals with the question whether the Czech system has so far been successful, what are its strengths, weaknesses and prospects of the future.
